Diabolo Chinese Yoyo Toy Professional Review

Yo-Yo (悠悠球, yoyo Chinese pinyin youyou), also called diabolo, is a kind of toy as well as sport equipment. Its earliest record of history books appeared in Greece 500 AD. According to legend, in the 16th century, a weapon of rope with yoyo-like heavy staff tied on the front was among the appliances for fighting and hunting by Philippine hunters. In 1700 AD, yoyo spread eastward from China to Nagasaki, Japan, traveled westward to India and spread from India to Europe. In Japan, Yoyo is vividly called the "wheelbarrow" or "money wheel" and it is very popular among young Asians. At the beginning of the 18th century, it was popular in the UK with name of "The Treasure of the Prince" and in France in the name of "Norman Yoyo", especially in the upper society in France and the United Kingdom. Since then, this Chinese yoyo toy and the Chinese yoyo name "yoyo" has spread from France to the rest of the world.

Chinese Yoyo History

The history of the yoyo diabolo first appeared in ancient Greece. In the Athens National Museum, the character on a ceramic jar is holding an ancient yo-yo. The material of this toy is wood, metal, or colored clay. The pattern is mostly the image of the gods.

The Chinese yoyo name “YO-YO” is originated from Filipino Tagalog and means "coming back" or "go and back." In 1500 AD, the hunting people of the Philippines used heavy objects such as dried fish and shellfish on the front of a 20-foot (about 6-meter) rope as a tool for hunting animals and fighting. It is said that children of hunting nations made this tool into smaller models and used for play. This is the origin of ancient Chinese yoyo.

18th to 19th century

In 1700 AD, diabolo Chinese yoyo passed from China towards east to Nagasaki, Japan; towards west to India and spread from India to Europe.

At the beginning of the 18th century, traditional Chinese yoyo was popular in the name of "The Treasures of The Prince" in UK and with the name of "Norman Yo-yo" in France. It was especially popular in the upper classes in France and Britain and was considered noble and fashionable toy. At the International Art Museum, you can see a painting of King George IV playing YO-YO, which shows how popular YO-YO was in Europe at that time.

1980s to 1990s

The name “YO-YO” first appeared in 1920. A Filipino named Pedro Flores introduced YO-YO to the United States. At that time, he worked at the hotel and played it in his spare time. He later established his own toy company Flores YoYo Company.

After seeing the potential of YO-YO in 1929, Dunor Duncan set up a company with the same name of his first name (DUNCAN) and began to train demonstrations. He performed and directed people to play YO-YO all around and organized competitions.

In 1950 Duncan produced the first rubber YO-YO and butterfly-shaped YO-YO.

YO-YO became hot in 1962 when Duncan promoted YO-YO performance to television.

In November, 1965, Duncan’s Company could not continue business and went bankrupt. It was acquired by Flambeau Company. The 11 kinds of Duncan YO-YO are still popular today. Due to the high profits of making Yo-Yo, many companies have launched Yo-Yo in succession.

In 1978, Tom Kuhn made a kind of YO-YO named No Live 3-in-1. This was the first YO-YO that could convert bearings.

In 1980 Michael Caffrey invented the YO-YO that can be recycled automatically.

On April 12, 1985, YO-YO was first brought into space by the NASA Discovery spacecraft as part of the space toy programs. They found that there was no downward force of gravity, so yoyo is unable to spin and rebound back to the line. They also confirmed that the yo-yo must be thrown instead of falling freely, because there is no gravity to stop.

In 1990, Nylon bearing and ball bearing YO-YO appeared, which increased spinning time without operation and available for more fancy play.

On July 31, 1992, YO-YO was once again brought into space. This time it was used to shoot a teaching tape including Yo-Yo.

All these make yoyo became fashionable and popular in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines and other places. These countries and areas had also set up yoyo associations, such as AYYA (American Yo-Yo Association), JYYA (Japan Yo-Yo Association) and so on.

In the 1990s, the YO-YO sport originated in Hawaii and had a world championship.

From 1997 to 1998, Japan's toy giant BANDAI represented YOMEGA, one of the three major brands in the YO-YO industry, and brought YO-YO sports to Asia. Using BANDAI's powerful production capabilities, YO-YO was changed to the animation "Speed YO-YO," and the most famous YO-YO TEAM-THP of the time was promoted in Japan. Later, the most famous THP-JAPEN was found by Alex from United States and Nakamura Naruto from Japan. I believe that yoyo players who have seen the "speeding YO-YO" animation are familiar with these two individuals. In the era of player professionalization, these two predecessors were just as legendary, and the venues where the performances were performed were full.

From the 1980s to the 1990s, the YO-YO professional player Guo Dawang of the Taiwan region of China promoted the gameplay in the Mainland, setting off a boom in YO-YO.

Similarly, in 1998 in Beijing and Guangzhou, China, Audi Toys Co., Ltd. invited two other THP members, Jennifer and Sky, to perform; a second YO-YO boom was set off in China.

21th century

In 2000, Japan's Watanabe Kota placed the bearings in Yo-Yo, and enabled more spinning time without operation for Yo-Yo. In that year, Watanabe was only 12 years old.

In 2001, China introduced the cartoon "Speeding YO-YO." After the cartoon was aired, the nationwide YO-YO heat broke out again. The timing of the outbreak was catching up with the arrival of the Internet era. A group of domestic YO-YO players knew each other and “settled on the Internet”. Soon after, the enthusiasm retreated, but the YO-YO sport actually took root in China.

In 2002, Japanese player Watanabe Kota invented the top finger gameplay of yoyo.

In 2006, YO-YO was finally recognized by most people as the hot broadcast of "BLAZING TEENS" produced by Audi Toys Co., Ltd. It made ordinary people aware of YO-YO. Following the involvement of the media and the progress of the game, the circle of YO-YO players is gradually getting bigger.

Blazing Teens

China also has an official Chinese yoyo competition. The 2006 National Yo-Yo Contest was broadcast on the CCTV Children's Channel. I believe many people have already learned the true gameplay of YO-YO. Since then, domestic Chinese yoyo competitions at various levels have emerged in an endless stream, providing the impetus for the vigorous development of Yo-Yo. Famous Chinese yo-yo player Bai Shui, real name Luo Yicheng, wrote a book entitled “Playing with Yo-Yo,” which is first professional Chinese yoyo guide book and has helped many diabolo Chinese yoyo beginners.

In 2008, Southern TV established the 5th Extreme Yo-Yo Club and held the 5th Extreme Yo-Yo Contest each month in Guangzhou.

In 2009, the 5th Extreme Yo-Yo Club of Southern Television hosted the first CNYC (China Yo-Yo Contest). Japanese YYR designed an extraordinary gameplay of the generation – Shenma, heavy outer ring, no A area, no teats, becoming the follow-up Yo-Yo's role model. Japan's Suzuki Hiroyuki broke the Guinness World catapult record with 62 regular shots in 30 seconds.

In 2014, the CNYC (China Yo-Yo Contest) and the CYCC (China Champions League Challenge) were formally merged, and China's national-level events have evolved from the previous to the present one.

With the popularity of the Internet, thousands information about YO-YO can be searched out on the Internet. There are also many professional Chinese YOYO websites that conduct teaching and experiences exchanges.

Chinese Yoyo Categories

Based on different shapes, Chinese yoyo can be divided into four types: standard type, butterfly, super wide weight butterfly and drum type.

  • Standard type: Suitable for quick hits and simple take-ups for Chinese yoyo beginners.
  • Butterfly type: Applicable to more complicated line-up action. It is the best Chinese yoyo choice beginners to promote to intermediate level, but it's not suitable for quick hits.
DUNCAN Butterfly Yo-yo

  • Super wide weight butterfly: Special for advanced players and used in big competitions. Its structure is mostly with ball bearing, the spinning time without operation is the longest, and the connection to Chinese yoyo whip is easy.
Super Wide Butterfly Yo-Yo

  • Drum type: Suitable for quick hits, but it is not easy to put on the line.
Drum Shape Yo-Yo
Drum Shape Yoyo

According to its different structure, yoyo Chinese can be divided into three types, namely, the overall shape, bearing type and clutch type. Different types of yoyo has different performance, suitable for a variety of different games.

  • Overall shape: The structure is the simplest. The whole cannot be separated. The rebound time is fast. It is most suitable for the ring gameplay, and can make a very beautiful, casual "thunderbolt", "three-stroke" and other gameplays. Suitable for Chinese yoyo beginners.
  • Bearing type: Including wooden bearings, nylon bearings, ball bearings and kk bearings all four kinds. The whole can be separated. Rope sleeved on the bearings, spinning without operation for a long time. Suitable for rope gameplay and “sleep” gameplay. It can be used to perform "tornado, surging" and other attractive techniques. Suitable for middle and senior players. Nylon bearings can reduce friction and extend free spinning time. The reason is that a nylon bearing is mounted on the metal shaft, the rope is placed in the groove of the nylon bearing, and the friction between the rope and the shaft is replaced by the low sliding friction between the bearing and the metal shaft, the resistance is reduced, so the free spinning time can be Extend 2-3 times. The free spinning time of the ball bearing is much longer. The secret lies in the fact that there are multiple small steel balls between the inner and outer shafts that can be flexibly rolled and have small clearances. The rolling of small steel balls (i.e., rolling friction is used instead of ordinary sliding friction) enable the inner and outer bearings can rotate smoothly, effectively reducing the frictional resistance.
Bearing Type Yo-Yo
Bearing Type Yoyo
  • Clutch type: The long automatic return can be realized. This is a clutch that uses a long centrifugal force. When rotating at a high speed, the metal ball is subjected to a centrifugal force to open the clutch and become a free spinning state. When the speed is decelerated, the clutch is closed to fix bearing because the spring force is greater than the centrifugal force. Suitable for ring and sleep games; suitable for Chinese yoyo beginners.

Yoyo Chinese Review

Yo-Yo officially entered China in 1990. It was brought to Shanghai by the Taiwanese entrepreneur Guo Hengjun. Shanghai quickly set off an upsurge of fun on yoyo. The yo-yo ball was everywhere. Because Taiwan reads "YO-YO" as a "liuliu qiu", Guo Heng from Taiwan is known as the "king of liuliu qiu".

Unfortunately, King Guo has not successfully promoted the yo-yo gameplay and skills. After a period of fanaticism, people found that although they had played yo-yo for a long time, they did not know its specific gameplay, and it was difficult to persevere. They gradually shifted their interests to other places.

For the past few years, China’s chilled Yo-Yo has been so popular abroad. The reason is actually very simple. On the one hand, yo-yo has a wide range of styles, a variety of gameplay, and highly ornamental, known as "dance on the fingers." On the other hand, professional yo-yo performances are mostly accompanied by musical backgrounds. Players can play high-precision styles in accordance with the various rhythm of music. Many foreign professional Yo-Yo players practice hard every day to pursue smoother, more ornamental and more difficult fancy shows.

Practicing Yo-Yo skills not only improves the player's perseverance and hand-eye coordination ability, but also fosters the habits of exploration and innovation. After mastering yo-yo's skill pattern, combining various movement skills according to one's own ideas can create new movement skills. This may sound simple, but it is difficult to really do it. Sometimes it's just a small change in action that takes many days of exploration and practice. After many practices, suffered setbacks and failures again and again, when finally created a set of moves that belonged only to oneself; the proud is beyond the imagination and experience of others.

In addition, the yo-yo is small, portable, and has almost no requirements for the venue. No matter where you go, you can play it at any time. Most of the foreign players like to make friends by playing yoyo and take outs together. In the crowded streets, in the quiet park or at the bank of the lake, a group of people talking and laughing along with playing yoyo, very funny. The meaning of the word "yo-yo" in English is "come" and a way to make friends. Major yo-yo manufacturers are also keen to organize various competitions, so that players from different countries and regions can get together and compete on the same platform, which also enhances the fun of playing yo-yo.

In China, however, yo-yo has not yet been popularized, and the condition is not as optimistic as in other countries. First of all, many people in China have misunderstood the yo-yo, thinking that it is a childish toy for kids to play with, and yoyo playing is only a simple action about up and down. Therefore, Yo-Yo players often receive others’ incomprehensible looks the moment they take out of yo-yo.

Second, because too few people really understand yo-yo and play yo-yo, it can’t form a trend. Therefore, the large market size of Yo-Yo is also difficult to form. When Yo-Yo cannot become a lucrative industry, businesses do not produce or rarely produce corresponding Yo-Yo products, so fewer people play Yo-Yo. Thus, an unfavorable cycle formed. This is also one of the reasons why the current condition of Chinese yo-yo is not optimistic.

The Advantages of Chinese Yoyo Sports

Since the current situation of yoyo is not optimistic, why should we choose Yo-Yo?

Leisure sport

You can choose not to pursue yo-yo as a career, but you can choose to integrate yo-yo into your daily life. Apart from studying and working, temporarily put away heavy burden on your shoulders and play with a beautiful yo-yo; you are able to rest your eyes from books and computer screens and you’re your fingers tired from writing and typing keyboards.

Exploring sport

After learning the yo-yo skills, you will gradually come into contact with the vast world of yo-yo technology. Yo-Yo has almost endless possibilities. There are many wonderful cool Chinese yoyo tricks waiting for you to master. Maybe many unknown gameplays are waiting for you to create. Learning a new yoyo play pattern is as joyous as a climber climbing a higher mountain.

Exercising sport

The practice of yo-yo is actually a very hard thing. If you want to learn more difficult styles, you need to pay more sweat and effort and experience more setbacks and failures. In the process of practicing Yo-Yo, we can learn two principles: First, people who give up halfway will never succeed. Second, they cannot move forward without seeing their shortcomings. This is also the two principles applying to do anything.

How to Use a Chinese Yoyo?

Make yoyo rope at a proper length

Too long or too short yoyo rope both make it hard to play well. The ropes attached to the newly purchased Yo-Yo are often slightly longer and must be adjusted before use. Hang the yo-yo ball to the floor and cut the yoyo rope 10cm above your navel. The length of the yoyo rope can affect the exertion of technology. With your height, choosing the length that suits you is the most important thing. Otherwise, the yo-yo will be struck hard and the interior will be easily destroyed.

Attach yoyo rope

Although the newly purchased Yo-Yo has been installed with a yo-yo string, the characteristics of the yo-yo are different because of the installation method and the degree of adjustment, and they need to be adjusted when used. In addition, disconnection, damage, etc., of the yoyo rope must be replaced. The steps are as follows:

1. Loosen the front end of the long rope;

2. Make a large rope loop by both hands;

3. Put the yo-yo into the loop. There are two Chinese yoyo sets tricks:

  • Simply put the yo-yo into separated rope loops. This method is good for free spinning, suitable for advanced players;
  • Loop the rope two times and then slip it into the yo-yo. This method is difficult for free spinning and is suitable for beginners.

4. Wind the yoyo rope and shrink the loop until it becomes entangled. When tightening, rotate the yo-yo to in the direction you want to tighten it up.

Tie yoyo rope

After the length of the rope is determined, the size of the circle can be easily adjusted using the tying method described below. It is not related to the size of the finger as long as the yoyo body can be tightly held.

Fold the rope into two strands and tie it together. Grasp the ends of the rope and pull it hard to prevent it from coming loose. Let the rope pass through the loop. Put your finger in the loop and tie it between the first and second joints of the middle finger.

Wind yoyo rope

Wound ropes of Yo-Yo with bearing cannot be smoothly done due to slippage. You can place the root of the rope on the edge of Yo-Yo with the thumb of your left hand. After 4 to 5 rounds, release the thumb and wind the rope as usual. Or, use the thumb to catch the rope and then roll it in. After each roll, try to throw it and take it back as a rewind. Then you can play with all kinds of cool Chinese yoyo tricks.

How to play with Chinese yoyo diabolo?

No matter how the yo-yo's acrobatic gameplays change, they all belong to three major categories:

  • Sleep gameplay: Allows the rope to rotate freely.
  • Ring gameplay: The yo-yo body draws a circular.
  • Rope gameplay: When yoyo is "sleeping", spinning freely, use rope to make various graphics.

By learning the first two Chinese yoyo basics, you can innovate more graphics of the third tricks, such as “walking dogs”, “magic balls”, “travel around the world” and the “Eiffel Tower”.

Yoyo Chinese Tips: The daily maintenance of Yo-Yo is extremely important, mainly cleaning and oiling. People who are Interested in the maintenance can buy a special book for reference.

How to make a Chinese yoyo? It is difficult for common people to make a durable yoyo that can be used to play all kinds of tricks. Then, where to buy Chinese yoyo? Just search “Chinese yoyo for sale” or similar words in Google and find Chinese yoyo stores like diabolo Chinese yoyo Amazon, Chinese yoyo Walmart, Chinese yoyo eBay etc. Chinese yoyo shop to buy diabolo Chinese yoyo. As for yoyo Chinese cost or yoyo Chinese pricing, most between $15 - $30. You may find Chinese yoyo promotional code to get cheap Chinese yoyo, but you’d better not to buy very cheap ones. In my opinion, too cheap not to be good let alone free.

Chinese Yoyo Tricks and Skills

Level 1 Long Sleeper: Rises arms and uses the wrist to roll the Yo-Yo ball down. Note: The palm is up! After Yo-Yo throws out, keep your hands horizontal and your palms down. Yo-Yo spins at the end of the rope. If you want the yo-yo to spin longer, you can throw it with 45 degrees inclined downwards! Then, pull your palm upward and the yo-yo will automatically return. This is the basis of all tricks, and we must practice a lot!

Level 5 Break Away: This is a horizontal fancy basic action. Raise your right hand and place the yo-yo in front of your shoulders. Wave your hand to throw the yo-yo to the right, while straightening the arm to centrifugally pull the yo-yo from the right to the left. When Yo-Yo traverses the body and reaches the horizontal position of the left shoulder, you can draw the rope to retract yoyo Chinese.

Level 10 Loop the Loop X3: Repeat “Forward Pass” trick three times. Make sure to catch diabolo Chinese yoyo when finally retake it.

Loop the Loop
Loop the Loop

Well, these are the primary actions in the Chinese yoyo basics of Yo-Yo. If you learned these ten tricks, then congratulations on reaching the entry level of the gameplay, and endless gameplay is waiting for you to discover!

The primary 10 basic actions is the beginning stage of all play, so all are very simple actions. Don't think yoyo is boring and stop here! The advanced gameplays are very perverted, depending on whether you dare to try it or not.

Oh, it's easy? Oh, next is the basic fancy intermediate stage, its more difficulty than the primary levels! Many people give up yoyo play in this stage because they find it too difficult play! But in the field of competitive YOYO, the middle level is still very simple. Of course, you must have a yoyo suitable for middle-level and don't use a beginner clutch to play intermediate.

Level 11 UFO: Set Yo-Yo on the position that from the right shoulder to the lower left, and throw it out obliquely so that the Yo-Yo ball rotates parallel to the ground. With your left hand, grab the rope 15 - 20 centimeters away from the Yo-Yo ball, lift the yo-yo ball and keep it in a horizontal rotating for 2-3 seconds. Let go of the left hand and throw Chinese yoyo diabolo up. Pull the rope with the right hand and take the yoyo back to your hand.

Level 12 Tokyo Tower: Use the "Break Away" trick, and place the upper 20cm or so rope from yoyo ball on the back of your left hand between index finger and thumb. Move your right hand to a location lower than your left hand and hang the rope on your right thumb. Twist the left hand to make the yo-yo rope crossed. With your left index finger and your thumb, grasp the long rope about 15cm below your right thumb and lift it up and pass it through the middle of the triangle formed by your left index finger and left thumb and right thumb.

Level 13 Dog Bite: Throw yoyo backwards through your feet. When yoyo moves to back, pull the rope so that it can touch the folds of the pants inside the thigh. Yoyo gap and yo-yo ropes will stumble with trousers, just like been bite by a dog.

Level 14 Three Leaf Clover: With the wrists lowered and the palms facing backwards, throw the Yo-Yo ball diagonally upward to draw an oval. Do not grab the returned yoyo. Turn your wrist to throw it forward and draw the 2nd oval. Still, do not grab the returned yoyo and roll it downwards until it gets on the side of the shoe, then retake it from underneath the palm.

Level 15 Loop the Loop X10: Repeat “Forward Pass” trick then times. Make sure to catch Chinese yoyo when finally retake it.

Level 16 Brain Twister: Use the "Break Away" trick. Push the rope up with left index while put your right hand down. Then, move right hand to the front so that the yoyo rope passes through the groove. Along the groove, raise your right hand as if you are making a circle in front of you. Put your right middle finger on the rope near the yo-yo section while push the right hand toward yourself and push upwards, and push the left hand to the front so that yoyo can easily jump up. Let yo-yo fall to the front of your left index finger. Stretch left index finger to the front, and pull right hand in the direction of your own. Because of its repulsive force, yoyo can jump up vigorously and upwards. The Jumped -up Yo-Yo, will turn around with your left index finger. After 3 turns, untie the yo-yo rope from your left index finger. Finally, take back the yo-yo to complete Brain Twister trick.

Level 17 Moon Sault: Throw yoyo Chinese out rightwards heavily with “Break Away” trick and take yoyo from the right to the left. Touch the rope about 10cm away from Yo-Yo with your left index finger. Let yoyo circle around the index finger continue to turn to the right, so that it fells to the rope. Pull both hands apart, as the rope is stretched so that yoyo will bounce. Bounced-up Yo-Yo, with the left index finger as the fulcrum, throw itself out to the outside. Take back yoyo and Moon Sault trick completes. This trick requires precise actions. When you are really good at it, even if the yoyo is a very narrow standard type, you can make it fall to the rope. This trick can’t be mastered in day or two. Be patient and psychologically prepared.

Level 18 Stop and Dash: Make "Brain Twister" trick to let the yoyo rope pass through the yo-yo ball slot, and both hands have the same height. With both palms facing down, pull the rope to roll up the three parts of A.B.C. Catch yoyo with both hands to stop it. With the height of the left hand remains the same, lower right hand quickly and pull the rolled up rope. The yo-yo will start to rotate again. Finally, take back the yo-yo.

Level 19 Home Run: This is a difficult friction trick. Throw the yo-yo from the left shoulder to the right obliquely. With diabolo Chinese yoyo spinning obliquely, squat your body and place one of your knees on the ground. Put yoyo slowly on the floor right in front of you. Move the arm from the right side to the left side to keep the yo-yo spinning obliquely and draw semicircles on the ground. When the yoyo rolls to the left of your body, pull the rope, but don't take yoyo back; throw it out obliquely upwards. Take back yoyo and complete the action.

Home Run

Level 20 Loop the Loop X30: Repeat “Forward Pass” trick then times. Make sure to catch yoyo when finally retake it. To complete thirty lightning strikes, you must be correct every time you try. Every time you throw yoyo, the angel and strength should be as the same as possible. Of course, a stable and easy-to-use yoyo special for strike will help you a lot.

Advanced grade

Advanced grade is the hardest part of the yo-yo basic styles. The length of the fancy, the difficulty of the skill, and the complexity are all unmatched by the elementary and intermediate levels. Therefore, before learning advanced fancy, you must have experienced basic skills: 1. Play “Break Away” time is at least 1 minute or more. 2. The accuracy of “Moon Sault” reaches 80%. 3. Repeat “Forward Pass” more than 30 times for once (prepare for “Forward Pass” with both hands).

Level 21 Pin Wheel: Put Chinese yoyo diabolo in “Break Away” trick. Hook up the rope with left hand. Quickly put down your right hand, let the rope slide on the left finger and pull yoyo up. Grasp the rope about 15-20cm from yoyo ball with your left hand. Using this as the center, let the yoyo rotate more than 3 turns using the pull force. After rotating more than three circles, release your finger and take back the yo-yo to complete the action. It seems like this is a very simple trick, but it is not. To keep the yo-yo spinning at high speed while waving the yo-yo, it requires that the rope cannot rub against the sphere. You can imagine that there is a vertical flat plate in front of you, and the yo-yo and the rope are always kept in the flat plate when they are spinning. If you can make sure of that, even 30 or 50 turns are not a problem. This action is the basis for continuous Moon Sault.

Pin Wheel

Level 22 Magic: Put yoyo in “Break Away” trick. Hang the yoyo on your hand back. With your right index finger, passes under the rope between the left hand and the middle finger of the right hand, and hook the rope between your left thumb and index finger and pull it out. Turn the index finger in such way to make the rope forms a circle and hang it on the index finger of your left hand. Then, hook the rope between the index finger and the middle finger of the left hand out, and similarly turn the rope into a circle and hung on the middle finger. Repeat the above procedure and put the four rings on the four fingers. Take off the rope on your thumb and pull the rope with right hand. Four ropes hanging on the four fingers of the left hand, unlocks like the magic one by one. Then, return the yo-yo to "Break Away". Take back yo-yo and the whole trick completes. This is a flashy action. The reason why the rank is advanced level is probably because in the era when the Chinese yoyo basics were eliminated, the bearing technology of the yoyo was relatively backward, and it was not easy to finish the long stringing operation because of the short free spinning time. In the present case, this action is only elementary difficulty. You can skip it if you don't like it.

Level 23 Double or Nothing: A difficulty landing action. It is difficult to use the standard type, and the use of a super wide butterfly type is less difficult. According to the "Break Away" method, forcefully roll the Yo-Yo ball to the right to make it spinning freely. On the front of the body, swing the wrist from right to left, making the yo-yo draw semicircles like a pendulum. When Chinese Yoyo draws a semi-circle, quickly put your left index finger to block the path about 30cm away from your right hand. Then, yoyo will draw semicircle with your left index finger as the axis. Quickly use your right index finger to block the Yo-Yo rope when it just draw a semi-circle. When the semicircle is drawn with right index finger, block its path with the left index finger once again, allowing the yoyo spinning with left index finger as the axis falls on the rope just touched the front of the finger, and the yo-yo rope is folded twice. With two arms open, all throw up and throw the rope away from the index fingers of both hands. Retake yoyo and finish the trick. The difficulty of this action is to calculate and use the length of the rope at the beginning of the first rope fold, and the final landing (yoyo fall) must be correctly on the most front rope. It's easier to if you try it with a bigger butterfly yoyo when you begin to learn this trick.

Double or Nothing
Double or Nothing

Level 24 Side Winder: Put yoyo in “Break Away” trick. Swing your right hand slightly to the right, and let the yoyo move to the right. Before yo-yo Chinese diabolo returns, pull it hardly and quickly move your right hand toward the center of your body. Yo-Yo has not been retaken yet! Then the yo-yo will drive the rope to rotate. When Yo-Yo flies near the right hand, take it back to complete the action. Similarly, try to swing your left hand slightly to the left and finish the whole trick. The difficulty of this action is that when you pull yoyo up, you can't take it back. Pull up yo-yo Chinese and move your right hand to the side, these two actions must be performed at the same time.
